Range Rover Sport SV Carbon – Forged Carbon Overload

The Range Rover and its offshoots are among those SUVs that have perfected the art of pairing raw power with refined luxury. The new Range Rover Sport SV Carbon takes that formula and cranks it up to a sharper, leaner, and more aggressive setting. Set to be unveiled on August 13, 2025, at the Monterey Car Week, the SV Carbon now sits alongside the Range Rover Sport SV and SV Black.

This completes the performance flagship line-up with a focus on lightweight engineering and an unmistakably motorsport-inspired edge. It’s the boldest SV yet, placing an emphasis on carbon fibre, while keeping the powerful engine and advanced chassis that make it one of the best performance SUVs.

Carbon Fibre Styling

At first glance, it’s quite clear this SUV is serious and aggressive. It comes standard with a Forged Carbon Exterior Pack that adds a stealthy finish around key aero parts and also includes Active Quad Exhausts. For those wanting more impact, there’s an optional Twill Exposed Carbon fibre bonnet with a distinctive diagonal weave that carbon fans will love.

The SV Premium Palette, plus four standard colours, lets owners tailor the SV Carbon’s look. Every detail is designed to enhance airflow and keep the SUV planted at speed.

Under The Bonnet – No Compromise On The Power

Power comes from the familiar yet formidable 4.4-litre Twin Turbo V8 mild hybrid petrol engine, delivering 626hp and 750Nm in standard form, or 800Nm when you engage Dynamic Launch Mode. That power rockets the SV Carbon to a top speed of 290km/h — impressive for an SUV this size.

Under the bonnet is a carbon fibre SV engine cover, highlighting the car’s serious focus on performance. But it doesn’t end there. Optional 23-inch Carbon Fibre Wheels save 76kg, making the SUV more agile, quicker, and smoother to drive.

Braking performance has been given equal attention. The optional Carbon Ceramic Brakes feature eight-piston SV calipers available in Blue, Yellow, Carbon Bronze, or Black. They deliver fade-free braking performance fit for the track, not just the daily drive.

Impressive Handling

The SV Carbon retains the advanced 6D Dynamics Suspension found on the SV. This system uses hydraulically linked air springs with pitch and roll control to keep the SUV stable during sharp corners, strong acceleration, and hard braking. It provides a smooth ride for luxury driving while maintaining sharp handling when pushed.

Inside The Cabin

Inside, the SV Carbon focuses on performance with Forged Carbon Fibre-backed seats featuring strong bolsters, integrated headrests, and illuminated SV logos. Moonlight Chrome accents add subtle contrast. Four interior themes are available, including leather and leather-free options, with further customisation through the SV Bespoke program. The Body and Soul™ Seat (BASS) system lets you feel the music through the seat, blending immersive audio with wellness benefits.
