Earlier this year, Qatar Airways restarted operations to Damascus, the capital of Syria. Now, the airline has announced the return of another Syrian destination to its network. Starting August 10, 2025, Qatar’s flag carrier will resume direct flights to Aleppo, where it first flew in 2011.
To begin with, Qatar Airways will operate three weekly flights between Doha and Aleppo on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. However, an additional weekly flight, operating on Thursdays, will be added to the route starting September 1, 2025.
Flight QR414 will depart from Qatar’s capital at 08:30 and arrive in Aleppo at 11:40. The return flight, QR415, will begin and conclude its journey at 13:55 and 17:00, respectively. The link to Aleppo expands Qatar Airways’ presence in the Middle East. Moreover, travellers from the newly announced Syrian city gain access to the airline’s extensive global network, which comprises over 170 destinations. One of the recent additions is Malta, where Qatar Airways now offers nonstop flights.
