What is included in the new Porsche Macan Signature Package?
The German carmaker Porsche has unveiled the new Signature Package for its all-electric Macan and Macan 4 models that will be available in the UAE market. The Signature Package consists of different options that were previously offered individually.
On the exterior, the new Signature Package offers the SportDesign Package, side blades painted in body colour or High-Gloss Black, and side window strips that match the side blades.
Technology-related equipment includes Matrix LED headlamps, adaptive air suspension with levelling and height adjustment, PASM, and LED door projectors.
How much is the Signature Package?
The Signature Package is available in the UAE for AED 28,280 on the Macan and Macan 4 models. According to Porsche, choosing this package can save up to 45% compared to ordering the equipment items individually.
So, the package should be considered as an alternative way to buy equipment for the car rather than a new version of the Macan itself.
What equipment comes standard on the Macan?
Porsche has added new comfort and safety devices to the standard equipment list for the new model year of the electric Macan.
Adaptive cruise control and Automated Parking with 2D Surround View become part of it. The system can recognise parking spaces between objects or in front of them, perform parking manoeuvres in parallel and perpendicular positions, and help exit the parking space in parallel.
The Remote Park Assist is still optional. It enables certain parking manoeuvres to be performed using a phone.
The phone charge box has also seen upgrades on the new Macan. It is now capable of charging at 25 watts, up from the previous generation’s 15 watts.
What Macan variants support fast AC charging?
For the Macan GTS and Macan Turbo variants, a 22-kW AC on-board charger is standard equipment. This ensures the car charges at a higher rate at public AC charging stations and compatible wallboxes than the standard 11-kW charger.
For the Macan, Macan 4, and Macan 4S, the maximum AC charging rate remains 11 kW as standard, though 22-kW charging is available as an optional feature.
For DC rapid charging, the Macan series can be charged up to 270 kW from compatible charging stations. The actual charging speed and wattage may vary depending on several factors, such as the battery’s temperature and state of charge, as well as the charging station’s capacity.
When will the new equipment for Macan become available?
The Signature Package and the new standard equipment line will debut with the beginning of the new model year. The package will add an additional AED 28,280 to the price of each car.
