Cadillac is making its customisation service, previously offered on the Cadillac Celestiq, available to the all-electric Cadillac Escalade IQ. The 2027 model year Escalade IQ will have more choices for customers with respect to exterior and interior design options, with help from a design concierge and Cadillac dealers.
The customisation service will follow the same approach that was employed for the Cadillac Celestiq. The customisation programme will have a limited volume of vehicles produced using hand-painting and hand-building techniques at Cadillac’s Artisan Centre in Warren, Michigan.
What customising options does the Escalade IQ have?
The Curated by Cadillac lineup has over 160 colours and finish combinations for the 2027 Escalade IQ. These include solid, metallic, tri-coat, frost, and matte paint finishes.
The programme also allows interior customisation, with up to 44 colours. Clients can use various combinations in the three rows of seats, centre console, and floor mats.
This programme is designed to give customers an option to choose combinations beyond those offered by the standard Escalade IQ lineups. In addition, customers will have access to a design concierge who will help them choose the combinations.
How will the custom Escalade IQ be built?
Each Curated by Cadillac Escalade IQ will go through a hand-painted and hand-built manufacturing process in the Artisan Centre in Warren, Michigan.
The vehicles will get a personalised VIN and builder’s badge. Cadillac said that the vehicles will be manufactured in ultra-low volume compared to standard Escalade IQ manufacturing.
Customisation comprises design consultation and assisted configurator sessions. Buyers can develop their specs with the Cadillac design team before the car is manufactured.
What are the performance and technology specs of the Escalade IQ?
Escalade IQ is an all-electric SUV with an estimated driving range of 748 km. When the Velocity Max function is activated, Cadillac says it will have an output of up to 761 BHP and 1,064 Nm of torque.
An estimated 0-100 kmph acceleration time for the Cadillac Escalade IQ is 4.9 seconds with the specified performance configuration.
Furthermore, Escalade IQ is fitted with a 55-inch Horizon display screen and Super Cruise driver assistance technology. According to Cadillac, the Super Cruise plan for three years comes as standard. This vehicle is equipped with bidirectional vehicle-to-home charging capability, provided it uses compatible GM Energy products.
What is the price of the Curated by Cadillac package?
The Curated by Cadillac package for Escalade IQ will cost $54,995 in the US. The price above does not include the base price of the vehicle. Moreover, it does not cover any applicable taxes, title, registration, licence, and dealer fees.
Since the customised package is independent of the vehicle’s MSRP, the price of the Curated by Cadillac Escalade IQ depends on the particular vehicle configuration and fees.
When will the customised Escalade IQ become available?
The Curated by Cadillac Escalade IQ is anticipated to debut as a 2027 model year vehicle and will be available for purchase in the United States and Canada. Customer deliveries are expected to commence during the latter half of 2027.
