“This revamped Divers Date presents a stylish take on the iconic 1965 model. While preserving its retro charm, the watch features substantial upgrades, making it perfect for both adventurers and discerning watch enthusiasts.”

Key Features

“First introduced in 1965, Oris’ original diver’s watch combined playful design with high-performance features, reflecting the thrill of underwater exploration and international travel. That legacy continues with the new Divers Date, which has been upgraded with modern features while retaining its timeless charm.

“Key enhancements include a more substantial silhouette for added presence, improved water resistance of up to 200 meters, and a scratch-resistant ceramic bezel. The redesigned dial features a custom typeface and bevelled hour markers for enhanced legibility, while the black, blue, and beige colour options evoke the industrial chic of the 1960s.”

Our Thoughts

Image: Playing Chess. Perfect GADA watch.

Oris is an impressive watchmaker, renowned for making simple, robust, and affordable watches that address a broader segment of collectors. Based on images and supporting information, the new upgraded Divers Date is a real gem. It combines an iconic design, a 39 mm case size, handsome dial, robust movement, both bracelet and rubber strap option, and an affordable price tag. I cannot think of any reason most collectors should not own this watch. It is a superb GADA (go anywhere do anything) watch, and not necessarily for divers only.

My personal favourite is the black or blue dial with black rubber strap.
