Omoda C5 Crossover SUV Debuts in Dubai

OMODA&JAECOO, the Chinese automobile brand which focuses on “pioneering the future of travel” has officially announced the arrival of OMODA C5 in the UAE. It made its debut at an exclusive event in Dubai.

Design: Sporty silhouette meets luxury vehicle cues

The all-new C5 is a chic crossover SUV that embodies the ‘Art in Motion’ design philosophy and features a sporty, streamlined silhouette with a diamond cut geometric matrix grille, a floating roof and two-tone blade wheels.

What’s in the name ‘OMODA’?

The name “OMODA” is a portmanteau of the terms “O” and “MODA”.

“O” is said to signify “surprise and vitality, and it is also a symbol of the essential element of life, Oxygen”, while “MODA” is derived from the word “Modern,” conveying a sense of avant-garde fashion and representing a new global generation of sustainable lifestyles, an embodiment of eco-friendly green practices and forward-looking technology, according to the company.

Growing presence: Sold in as many as 18 countries

OMODA which comes under the OMODA&JAECOO brand is a new marque under the state-owned vehicle manufacturer Chery, which was established in 2022. Currently, it is available in as many as 18 countries worldwide, including Spain, Turkey, Mexico, and Australia, with an expanding presence in the Middle East, now including Kuwait and Qatar also.
