Novitec Starts New Year With A Ferrari

The tuner spruces up the 296 GTB.

We’ve barely gone through the first half of January 2024, and Novitec is back at what it does best. What you see here is the Novitec Ferrari 296 GTB. Compared to the standard car, the spruced-up version features aerodynamic improvements, different suspension and wheels and, of course, more oomph. All those changes raise the excitement quotient of the two-seater Italian prancing horse.

Novitec claims that its version of the Ferrari 296 GTB offers more downforce than the standard car. That comes courtesy of some elements, including a lip spoiler at the front, rocker panels and a ducktail spoiler at the rear. Those who don’t like that combo can go with an exposed-carbon trim for the retractable production spoiler or with a rear lip spoiler. Raising the sporty quotient are carbon trims on the ORVMs, side air scoops and the quarter glass.

The Novitec Ferrari 296 GTB rides on NF11 wheels designed by Vossen. Forged and CNC machined, the rims have a five twin-spoke design with centre lock-look hub covers. The wheels are available in various finishes and in 72 colours. At the front, the 21-inch wheels are wrapped with 255/30ZR section tyres. At the back, the diameter is 1 inch more with 335/25ZR rubber. Accompanying the custom wheels are Novitec sports springs that lower the ride height by 35mm. Those looking for more sophistication can opt for the Novitec stainless coilover suspension with adjustable ride height and damping rates, with or without the Fiorano package. A hydraulic front lift system, which raises the car by 40mm, helps tackle uneven surfaces and speed humps.

In its standard specification, the Ferrari 296 GTB offers 830ps from its twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 hybrid powerplant. Novitec has introduced custom turbo inlets and a new exhaust system that breathes better. The latter is available in stainless steel or INCONEL – an alloy used in Formula One. To improve the thermal efficiency of the whole system, the latter option can be coupled with 999 fine gold plating. Other features, such as butterfly valves, 100-cell metal catalysts and two 102mm outlets, are also part of the package. All those changes up the output to 868ps, an increment of 38hp.

For those who want an even more thorough job done, the German tuner offers upgrade options for the car’s interior. That’ll especially matter when Novitec releases similar upgrades for the Ferrari 296 GTS.
