Newfangled, Discotheque-like BMW and MINI flagship showrooms unveiled in Dubai

With classic and contemporary cars, motorcycles and the latest merchandise all encapsulated in a upscale, cossetting environment, who wouldn't want to buy into the BMW experience?

AGMC, the official BMW Group distributor for Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, has officially opened doors to its fully renovated showrooms on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai on 9 May 2024.

The extensive renovation has completely transformed the showrooms into new-age state-of-the-art facilities spanning an incredible 95,000 square feet, making it one of the largest, possibly most advanced and certainly most chic automotive showrooms in the region. On the opening night we caught a glimpse of the vehicle display gallery which houses the latest BMW concept cars and a carefully curated selection of classic cars, and a comprehensive range of new BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad vehicles, alongside certified used cars.

Retail.Next Concept

The new space embodies the cutting-edge Retail.Next concept, bringing an upscale almost discotheque-like ambience which feels rich and sophistication as opposed to the glaring spotlight-lit display arenas that we once called car showrooms. It also seamlessly integrates the service centre, spare parts counters, and body shop into different sub-locales of the showroom, and is claimed to offer customers a first-class luxury experience rather than a store for sterile high-ticket transactions.

Buyers and visitors can also unwind in various lounges scattered throughout the showroom, explore the retail area offering a range of premium accessories and merchandise, or treat themselves at the Healthy Farm Eatery.

Prized display pieces

The highlight of the opening day, however, was the showcase of those wheeled gems from past and present. Visitors can continue to marvel at a carefully curated selection of vehicles that not only highlight BMW’s rich heritage but also its innovation in automotive design and technology. On display were a very exclusive collection of BMW Classic cars that included the BMW M1, BMW M3 E30, BMW 2002, and the BMW M6 E24. From their current catalogue, on display were the BMW M2, the BMW XM safety car from Dubai Autodrome, BMW 7-Series and the MINI Countryman at the MINI showroom at the South end of the showroom. Also, showcased were a whole bunch of motorcycles from the BMW Motorrad range including the F900 GS adventure bike, S 1000 RR superbike and many others.
