Shelby American, a subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International Inc., has introduced two new Shelby Ford F-150 Baja Raptor trucks with enhanced suspension, improved cooling, styling updates, and up to 900+ horsepower on 93 octane pump gasoline. The V6 Shelby Baja Raptor and V8-powered Shelby Raptor R editions were unveiled on 11 October 2024 at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale and are available in limited numbers at official dealers.
Shelby has offered a Ford Raptor version since 2013, building on lessons from the 2020-2022 Shelby GT500 supercars. The new models continue Raptor’s high-performance legacy, available in both V6 and V8 (Raptor R) versions, offering Baja desert racing-inspired performance.
The 2024 Shelby Ford F-150 Baja Raptor is equipped with a race-proven FOX Live Valve suspension system, providing smooth pavement performance and off-road stability. The truck features functional off-road bumpers, LED lighting and Shelby stripes. It’s distinct interior also features billet racing pedals, serialized dash plaque, serialized engine plaque, embroidered floor mats, Shelby full leather seat re-covers w/ red accents and Shelby Baja Raptor seat embroidery.
The 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 engine is modified to add 100 horsepower, alongside a lightweight hood, 18-inch forged wheels with 37-inch tires, and additional cooling systems. The V8 “R” version features a 5.2-litre V8 with a Whipple 3.8L supercharger system, Shelby-tuned Borla exhaust, and over 900 horsepower.
Shelby collaborated with partners like Fox, Ford Performance, and Whipple to enhance power, technology, and handling. The Baja Raptor package starts at $61,995 (AED 227,700) and the Raptor R at $64,995 (AED 238,700), available only in North America with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty. Each truck is registered in the official Shelby Registry.
