New Porsche Cayenne Pricing Revealed For India

Bookings are open, with deliveries set to commence in July 2023.

Porsche unveiled the new Cayenne to the world for the first time earlier this week. The refreshed SUV is on display at the Shanghai Auto Show. And here’s some good news for those planning to buy one in India! You won’t have to wait too long, as the brand’s Indian arm has officially started accepting bookings for the new Cayenne. In fact, it has already shared the starting price as well. The new Porsche Cayenne will start at INR 1.36 crore, whereas the new Porsche Cayenne Coupe will have a starting price tag of INR 1.42 crore.

It’s unclear at the moment what variants the new Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe will Porsche offer in India. However, two of the three are making the cut if we go by what the official website says. And that holds for the SUV and the Coupe. So, you have the standard versions, which will pack a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine producing 349/600Nm. That’s enough for the new Cayenne and the Cayenne Coupe to complete the 0-100kmph sprint in 6 seconds and 5.7 seconds, respectively. The top speed for both is 248kmph.

The other option for both is the E-Hybrid derivative. In that, the 3.0-litre turbo-petrol engine is accompanied by an electric motor. Porsche says the total system output is 464hp/650Nm. So naturally, the standard sprint times are shorter for the hybrid variants, with Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe completing it in 4.9 seconds. Their top speed, at 254kmph, is a bit higher as well. And no matter which variant you settle for, the transmission duties will be handled by an 8-speed automatic.

Features? One could always spend extra to get more creature comforts in the mix. However, the standard list isn’t too shabby. It includes 20-inch wheels, powered and heated front seats, adaptive air suspension, Matrix LED headlights, auto-dimming IRVM and ORVMs, a rear-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, four-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting, a 10-speaker sound system and a 15-watt wireless mobile charger.

Porsche India confirms deliveries of the new Cayenne range will commence in July 2023. The facelifted versions are an alternative to the BMW X5/X6 (refreshed models incoming), Mercedes-Benz GLE/GLE Coupe and the Audi Q7/Q8.
