MotoGP will visit 22 circuits across five continents in 2027, with Buenos Aires and Adelaide joining a calendar that runs from Thailand in March to Valencia in November.
MotoGP’s new technical era now has its roadmap.
The championship has confirmed a 22-round calendar for 2027, beginning at Buriram on 7 March and ending at Valencia on 28 November. Between them comes a season spanning five continents, with two new venues providing its biggest changes.
Buenos Aires brings MotoGP back to Argentina’s capital, while Adelaide takes over as the Australian stop with a new street circuit in the heart of the city. Both arrive in the same year that MotoGP introduces its new generation of 850cc machinery.
Buenos Aires Joins the Early Season
Thailand opens the championship from 5 to 7 March, followed by Qatar a week later. After a short break, MotoGP heads to South America for Brazil at Goiânia before arriving in Buenos Aires from 9 to 11 April.
The Autódromo Oscar y Juan Gálvez will host round four, giving Argentina a new home on the MotoGP calendar. Austin follows two weeks later before the championship returns to Europe for Jerez.
That begins a run through some of MotoGP’s most established venues. Le Mans, Mugello, Barcelona, Assen, Sachsenring and Brno all feature before the summer break, with Silverstone restarting the season on 15 August.
Adelaide Gives the Australian GP A New Identity
The other major change comes much later.
After Portimão concludes the European run, MotoGP heads through Motegi, Sepang and Mandalika before arriving in Adelaide for the penultimate round from 12 to 14 November.
It marks a significant change for the Australian Grand Prix. The 2027 race will take place at the new Adelaide Street Circuit rather than Phillip Island, taking MotoGP into an urban setting for round 21 of the championship.
Its position on the calendar also gives the debut immediate importance. With only Valencia remaining afterwards, Adelaide could arrive at a crucial stage of the 2027 championship.
Valencia Keeps the Final Word
Valencia retains its familiar place at the end of the season, with Circuit Ricardo Tormo hosting the finale from 26 to 28 November.
The result is a calendar that mixes continuity with two very different additions. Buenos Aires arrives early in the year as part of MotoGP’s South American stretch, while Adelaide introduces a new street circuit just one race before the finale.
22 Grands Prix, five continents and two new venues give MotoGP’s new era a distinctly different shape. The motorcycles change in 2027, and so does part of the world they will race through.
