MING launches 29.01 Dubai Edition at Dubai Watch Week !

A Worldtimer with City and World-Time in Arabic.

Dubai Watch Week: 16th – 20th November 2023.

Horologer Ming is much more than a microbrand. It is a ‘phenomenon’ that has taken the horological world by storm. MING, (as it is known), was founded by six watch lovers and collectors from around the world. Their leader is Ming Thein, a well-known photographer, designer, business strategist, and watch lover. MING has its roots in Malaysia, and Switzerland. They have gone from strength to strength during the past several years.

To commemorate their first ever participation in a horological industry event, and by popular demand, they have proudly presented the 29.01 Dubai Edition, a Worldtimer for their Arabic speaking and reading collectors.

It is based on their successful 29.01 Worldtimer, albeit with a few important modifications. These include:

– A City and World-Time ring in Arabic.

– The addition of a third ring to provide differentiation for the cities that accommodate Daylight Savings Time (DST). In addition to an offset marker to indicate the time in these time-zones where DST is followed.

– Rose Gold Finish on the second-generation Schwarz-Etienne for MING ASE222 microrotor automatic movement.

– For the first time by MING, an Elastogator strap.

The MING 29.01 Dubai Edition has a case made of grade 5 titanium, and a case diameter of 40 mm and case thickness of 11.9 mm. MING states that the dial is visually larger due to lack of a bezel and a 34 mm dial opening. It is powered by the second-generation Schwarz-Etienne for MING ASE222 microrotor automatic movement, which is visible through a sapphire caseback.

The MING 29.01 Dubai Edition is a 25-piece limited edition and priced at CHF 22,000.
