Maserati unveils the one-off MC20 Maserati pur Maserati for the Trident family
The one-off car gets bespoke customisations from Maserati’s Fuoriserie programme
For some, the Maserati MC20 Maserati pur Maserati name might not be the most exciting name given to a sports car, but the Italian carmaker has put some thought behind it. September 2024 saw Maserati unveil a one-of-a-kind model named the MC20 Maserati pur Maserati, made exclusively for two very special customers: the grandchildren of Ettore Maserati, founder of the Italian brand in 1914 together with his brothers Alfieri and Ernesto.
The Maserati MC20 Maserati pur Maserati is a 100% made-in-Modena creation commissioned by Ettore’s grandchildren as a wish to leave their children, in turn, a tangible memory of the brand that is now 110 years old and stands as a symbol of luxury and sportiness around the world. Hence, the Maserati pur Maserati special creation carries dedicated customisation courtesy of the Fuoriserie personalisation programme, reflecting the desire to pay homage to Maserati’s history.
Hence, the exterior paint selected for this one-off Maserati is one of the most characteristic colours of Trident’s production – Blu Infinito. The looks are enhanced by a double-striped look in Bianco Pastello to lend a sportier appeal to the car, along with a massive Trident logo painted on the tonneau in Grey Pastel. The optional carbon fibre package has been selected, both for the exterior and the interior, with customised “Maserati per Maserati” and “Maserati Fuoriserie” logos across the car as part of the Fuoriserie personalisation programme. That customisation also extends to the interior, with Alcantara predominating the upholstery, along with carbon fibre accents all around the cabin.
Ettore Maserati’s grandchildren and the founder’s three great-grandchildren witnessed the delivery. Luca Delfino, Maserati Global Chief Commercial Officer, did the honours accompanied by Andrea Bertolini, Maserati Chief Test Driver, and Ermanno Cozza, a historic figure for Maserati after working at the Trident brand for 60 years.
