The BMW M2 is one of the last manual transmission cars available and a total darling in the sports car world. Short, powerful, manual, and with the phenomenal S58 straight six, it was already great. Manhart decided to go ahead and fix a good thing by adding more power, aero, trick suspension options, and plenty of carbon.
What you get with the Manhart MH2 700 II is 700 horsepower and 663 pound-feet of torque (900 Nm). This is up from stock M2’s 460 horse and 406 pound-feet (550 Nm). They achieve the massive bump in power by adding some special computer remapping, carbon intake with the Manhart MHtronik powerbox, stainless steel valved exhaust, and even different catalytic converters—depending on if this is legal for your jurisdiction. If the numbers aren’t enough, they can even go higher with Stage 2 or Stage 3 tunes.
The braking system is left stock as it is adequate, but the color is changed to champaign. The suspension is upgraded to either a Manhart coil over springs by KW or a Manhart Variant 4 coil over suspension by KW. Yido wheels are added with 20” by 10.5 wide and 21” by 11.5” wide rear with 285/30 and 305/25 tires, respectively.
The exterior is where you’ll notice the biggest difference when not under wide open throttle. The aero is carbon and extensively refined. The carbon front apron and side skirts come directly from Manhart, while the carbon hood, kidney grilles, front splitter, diffuser, rear wing, and underbody paneling come from Alpha-N. Inside they’ve even given the former M2 a roll bar, new rear seat cover, belts, and floor mats. This is one wild car that needs to be experienced!
Cheers!
