Manhart Does A Porsche 911 GT2 RS

And the finished product, which offers over 1,000Nm of torque, is called the TR 900.

Those who closely follow the car tuning scene may remember that a couple of weeks ago, Manhart unveiled the TR 800. Based on the 992-gen Porsche 911 Turbo S, it offered a considerable increment in power, torque and style. Now, the German tuning house has revealed another finished project. Manhart calls it the TR 900, and it’s based on the most bonkers derivative of the 911 range – the GT2 RS.

Starting off with something that offers 700hp/750Nm from its twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre flat-six is the kind of task that Manhart really likes. The powerplant has been given an ECU remapping along with a turbo performance kit. The latter includes larger turbochargers, a new intercooler kit and a custom IPD aluminium manifold. Those changes take the power and torque figures up to 945hp and 1,050Nm, respectively. Simple math reveals an increment of 245hp/300Nm. Obviously, that will have a noticeable impact on the 0-100kmph sprint time and the top speed, both of which are likely to leave the GT2 RS overwhelmed.

The reworked engine is accompanied by an upgraded 7-speed PDK and the Manhart Sport by Kline Innovation downpipes with 200-cell HJS catalysts. Even the chassis has been tweaked to handle the monumental increase in output, but the standard carbon-ceramic brakes haven’t been altered. That said, Manhart would happily customise them on request. The magnesium wheels, part of the Weissach package, boast their standard gold-metallic finish, but they can be personalised.

Yes, Manhart hasn’t shied away from giving the TR 900 a bespoke look. For that, there’s a new front spoiler, frames for the air intakes in the front, side skirts and a diffuser with side expansion plates. Indoors, there are Manhart-branded floor mats, but more customisation options are available. And for that final touch, the Manhart décor set does the job. The car flaunts a Midnight Dark Green shade, on top of which the gold stripes and the lettering look unique and unmissable.

The Manhart TR 900 looks good, and with that mighty punch, it’ll leave almost everyone stunned on the run. What’s your take?
