AGMC, one of the UAE’s leading automotive companies, has signed an agreement with Lotus Cars to become the British performance brand’s official distributor in the UAE. The agreement was signed in Dubai on 24 June 2026 and marks a new chapter for Lotus in the UAE.
Under the new partnership, AGMC will oversee Lotus sales, aftersales and customer experience operations across the UAE. The agreement also includes the development of three new Lotus AGMC sales facilities in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah, along with two aftersales facilities in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Where will Lotus showrooms open in the UAE?
As part of the agreement, three new Lotus AGMC sales facilities are planned to open across the UAE. These will be located in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. This expanded footprint is aimed at making Lotus more accessible to customers across the country, especially in key luxury and performance car markets such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Will Lotus have official service centres in the UAE?
Yes. Two Lotus AGMC aftersales facilities are planned in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. This is a major part of the partnership, as performance and luxury car buyers often look beyond the vehicle itself. Official aftersales support, trained technicians, service convenience and long-term ownership care are crucial parts of the premium car buying experience.
Which Lotus cars will be available in the UAE?
The Lotus range for the UAE includes the Lotus Emira, the soon-to-arrive Lotus Eletre X SUV with Super Hybrid technology and the Lotus Emeya hyper-GT.
The Lotus Emira represents the brand’s sports car heritage and is described as the most powerful four-cylinder Lotus car ever made. The Lotus Eletre X brings the brand into the luxury performance SUV space, while the Emeya hyper-GT expands Lotus into a more premium grand touring segment.

Why is the AGMC and Lotus partnership important?
The partnership is important because it gives Lotus a stronger official presence in the UAE at a time when the brand is expanding its global footprint and product portfolio. For Lotus, the UAE is a strategically important market with customers who value design, technology, performance and exclusivity. For AGMC, the addition of Lotus strengthens its position as a house of premium and luxury automotive brands.
Commenting on the partnership, Dr. Andreas Schaaf, Group Director, Albatha Group, said: “Lotus is one of the most respected and influential names in automotive history. For more than seven decades, the brand has inspired enthusiasts around the world through its relentless pursuit of innovation, performance and engineering excellence. We are proud to welcome Lotus to the AGMC family and to begin this exciting new chapter together. The UAE is one of the world’s most sophisticated automotive markets, with customers who appreciate exceptional design, advanced technology and outstanding performance. We believe Lotus is uniquely positioned to meet those expectations.”
Mr. Qingfeng Feng, Lotus Group CEO, added: “The UAE represents a strategically important market for Lotus and a key pillar of our growth ambitions across the Middle East. As Lotus continues its transformation into a modern luxury performance brand, it is essential that we partner with organisations that share our commitment to excellence and customer experience. AGMC brings decades of automotive expertise, deep market knowledge and a proven track record of building premium brands in the UAE. We are delighted to begin this partnership and look forward to unlocking the next phase of growth for Lotus in the region.”
