Expanding European Presence
The national carrier of Poland, LOT Polish Airlines, has announced the addition of two new European destinations to its network. From March 30, 2026, the airline will establish a one-way direct link between Bologna and Warsaw. In other words, there will be a nonstop service from the Italian town to the Polish capital. The other is Porto, the second regular destination in Portugal, after Lisbon. Between Porto and Warsaw, the airline will operate nonstop flights in both directions, starting May 25, 2026.
Detailing the Bologna-Warsaw route
The one-way offering will be a year-round affair, offered six times per week. On three days, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, flight LO-328 will depart from Bologna and arrive in Warsaw at 11:40 and 13:50, respectively. However, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, flight LO-330 will begin its journey at 18:25 and conclude it at 20:35. All times mentioned are local.
LOT Polish Airlines will use Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft to ferry passengers. Once live, Bologna will become the fourth city in Italy, after Rome, Milan, and Venice, to have a direct link with Warsaw. This route will open further connection options for travellers via Warsaw. The list includes Delhi, Tokyo, Chicago, New York JFK, Krakow, Stockholm, and Tallinn.

The Warsaw-Porto Connection
The newly announced route between Warsaw and Porto will also be a year-round offering. During the summer season, LOT Polish Airlines will operate the route five times weekly, on all days except Wednesdays and Saturdays. The flight will depart from Poland’s capital at 10:20 and arrive in Porto at 13:25. The return service will fly out of Porto at 14:25 and land in Warsaw at 19:10.
During the winter period, the same flight schedule will be followed, but with flights operating four times a week. That’s all the days mentioned above, except Mondays. The airline claims the outbound flight time will be about 4 hours and 5 minutes. However, the return leg will take around 3 hours and 45 minutes. The airline will deploy Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft to fly passengers on both sectors.

More Action Planned in Iberia
LOT Polish Airlines plans to improve its presence in the Iberian Peninsula further. From next summer, the carrier will double its weekly flights from Warsaw to Barcelona and Madrid. As a result, both routes will operate 14 times weekly.
The second daily service to Madrid will launch on March 29, 2026. Unlike the first one, which offers a morning departure time of 10:40 from Warsaw, the second one will depart at 19:40. Return services will start at 06:00 and 15:30.
Similarly, LOT Polish Airlines will have two daily services to and from Barcelona. Starting June 1, 2026, the two outbound flights will start at 08:30 and 13:50, while the inbound services will begin their journeys at 12:35 and 18:00.
