Lambo SUV Honours The Essenza SCV12

None of the forty customised Urus Performante units is up for grabs.

Do you remember the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 from 2020, the track-only, 830hp monster limited to 40 units? The folks at Sant’Agata Bolognese have decided to honour each of those 40 racers and their respective owners with as many specially customised Urus Performante. And we know who knows best about personalising a Lamborghini – the brand’s in-house Ad Personam department.

Every Essenza SCV12 customer was given the freedom to uniquely configure their own iteration of the Urus Performante. For instance, they could choose between a matte or glossy finish on the exposed carbon fibre elements on the SUV, including the roof, bonnet, ORVM caps and the carbon fibre frame with the Lamborghini logo set between the rear light units. All those dark pieces provide a two-tone finish with the SUV’s body colour, which, along with the livery, was chosen to echo the look of each Essenza SCV12. All Urus Performante units finished under this project don 23-inch high gloss black wheels and black callipers by default. However, customers did have a choice to customise those colours as well.

Indoors, there’s Nero Cosmus (black) Alcantara upholstery with leather inserts, carbon fibre embellishments (in a matte or glossy finish), black anodised aluminium elements and a Dark Package, except for the contrasting red door handles. Part of the carbon fibre detailing is a decorative element on the passenger side of the dashboard, kick plates with the Essenza SCV12 logo and silhouette, and two celebratory carbon fibre plaques, one with Lambo’s 60th-anniversary logo and the other with the vehicle number or customer’s name.

The mechanicals remain unaltered, meaning the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 produces 656hp/850Nm. That’s enough for a 0-100kmph sprint time of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 306kmph. The Urus Performante is so quick that it set a record in the production SUV category on the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb course.

No points for guessing; all the SCV12-inspired Urus Performante units are meant for the Essenza SCV12 owners. There’s no word on how much each of the uniquely-done SUVs costs. But, Lambo’s head of design does confirm that “the Lamborghini Urus SC-V12 Edition is the most expressive and detailed livery we have ever created”.
