Kia is touting the innovative design of their new EV4 ahead of their upcoming EV Day in Spain on February 24th. Not only will they be outlining their electrification strategy, but they’ll be talking more about this new car with a full reveal taking place on the Kia YouTube on the 27th.
The details are slim, but what I see is a handsome and futuristic-looking hatchback and something with a strange rear end they’re calling a “sedan”. Am I the only one seeing a futuristic-looking Accord Crosstour? The stance and rear end are certainly an acquired taste, but the front end is more appealing than Kia is calling the EV Tiger Face. This new facia combines their vertical headlights with the signature Star Map lighting.
In contrast to the low hood line of the sedan, the hatchback has a more contemporary appearance to it. Both come with 19-inch wheels and have a similar rear-end design, but the hatchback has a black C-pillar and geometric patterns to the lower body sections. The GT-Line cars will have wing-shaped front and rear bumpers, unique triangular motif 19-inch wheels, and a sportier overall feel.

Regardless of how you feel about the design, both cars are set to be affordable and forward-thinking cars with the Kia ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy. New technologies, a competitive range and power, and modern designs are set to make Kia a leader in the electric mobility market. But what do you think? Is this EV4 Sedan and Hatchback going to be a hit for Kia or a fabulous flop?
Cheers!
