JAC JS6 Launched In The UAE

It is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol engine, producing 181hp.

Chinese carmaker JAC Motors has launched its fourth passenger vehicle in the UAE – the JS6. Al Habtoor Motors’ flagship showroom in Deira hosted the launch event for the brand’s latest offering – an SUV that measures just over 4.6 metres in length, a smidge under 1.9 metres in width and 1.7 metres in height.

The JAC JS6 is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol engine, outputting 181hp/280Nm. By default, it comes coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The other option is a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. The carmaker claims a 0-100kmph sprint time of 9.8 seconds.

For the UAE market, JAC Motors has devised two derivatives of the JS6 – Comfort and Flagship. Depending on the variant, the features list includes two 12.3-inch displays (one each for infotainment and the instrument cluster), support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, paddle shifters, 64-colour ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, auto LED headlamps, LED DRLs, multiple drive modes, push-button start, wireless mobile charger, an 8-speaker sound system, electric tailgate and automatic climate control.

The JAC JS6 also offers many driver assistance systems and safety features. The list includes 15 ADAS functions (Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, etc), Electronic Stability Control, six airbags, Traction Control System, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and a Brake Override System.

The SUV rides on 18-inch alloy wheels with disc brakes at the front. The five-seater is also high on space, offering 670 litres of luggage area. Fold the rear seats down, and that number shoots up to 1,080 litres. The JAC JS6 is available in five colours – white, black, red, grey and blue. Those interested can contact their nearest Al Habtoor JAC showroom for a test drive and booking.
