GeigerCars Tunes The Dodge Challenger Demon 170

When Dodge announced the end of the Challenger in December 2023, it brought the curtain down on a golden age of American muscle. For nearly two decades in its modern form, and decades before in its classic guise, the Challenger stood as Dodge’s weapon of choice for unapologetic horsepower and tire-smoking antics. And in true Detroit fashion, Dodge decided to send it off with a parting gift so outrageous that it instantly cemented itself in muscle car history — the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170.

The Demon 170 was the most powerful production muscle car ever built, producing a thunderous 1,025 horsepower from its supercharged 6.2-litre Supercharged HEMI V8. Dodge limited production to 3,300 units, aimed at the North American market. But as often happens with cars this special, a few slipped across the Atlantic. One of those has landed in Germany, and GeigerCars.de — Munich’s muscle car specialists — have given it their special treatment.

GeigerCars: Bringing American Muscle To European Streets

If you’re a gearhead in Europe with a taste for American muscle, GeigerCars is a name you know. With over 45 years of experience, they’re the go-to people for importing, tuning, and servicing American icons — from Corvettes to Mustangs, Ram trucks to Hellcats. GeigerCars understands the American car culture, engineering, and sheer attitude that make American performance cars special. So when a Demon 170 rolled into their shop, they weren’t about to let it roll out without their signature tweaks.

The GeigerCars Dodge Challenger Demon 170

The ‘standard’ Demon 170 is already a purpose-built quarter-mile machine. But GeigerCars decided that this particular Demon 170 should be something more than just a weekend drag-strip toy. Their mission — keep the outrageous performance intact, but make it a car you could drive every day.

The 6.2-litre Supercharged HEMI V8 in the Dodge Challenger Demon wasn’t exactly a slouch to begin with. It produced 1,025hp in standard form and clocked the 0–100km/h run in an insane 1.66 seconds. Quite obviously, this wasn’t enough for GeigerCars. The Germans have now tuned the engine to produce 1,039hp and 1,281Nm. While 0–100 acceleration times aren’t specified, we’re confident it can clock even quicker times on the stopwatch. Oh, and this output is on E85 pump gas. Using higher-octane fuel is sure to push those numbers even higher.

The visual transformation starts with a striking new wrap over the original white paint. Flames burst out of the hood scoop, framing a devil’s head with glowing red eyes. The body retains the Demon 170’s unique design cues: narrow front fenders paired with widebody rear panels, a large rear spoiler lip, and functional air intakes replacing the inner headlights.

The black double-spoke forged rims are shod with sticky 245/55 and 315/50 Mickey Thompson semi-slick tires — perfect for launching this beast off the line. The standard Demon 170 came with a single driver’s seat and light fabric to save weight for the drag strip. GeigerCars chose full leather seating for daily comfort, adding an Alcantara-wrapped sports wheel, carbon fiber trim, and signature Demon badges with the serial number on the dash.
