Memories of the past comes back
Ferrari has experienced all the possible disappointments: engine failure, strategic error, pilot error or a car clearly inferior to the competition, the Italian team is in perdition since the Spanish Grand Prix where the victory of Charles Leclerc flew when the engine of the Monegasque exploded. This is not the first time that the Scuderia is plagued by repeated mechanical incidents, in 2018, the Asian tour had definitively sealed the fate of the championship to the dismay of Sebastien Vettel. Ferrari is already 66 points behind Red Bull in the manufacturer’s championship, and is only 40 points ahead of Mercedes. Who is really to blame for this worrying start to the season?
Charles Leclerc, the tree that hides the forest?
He has made qualifying his supremacy with 6 pole positions for 8 Grand Prix contested, two victories by dominating the race from start to finish. Charles Leclerc is the leader of this team, the only one truly capable of fighting with the two Red Bull drivers. However, he still made mistakes that were detrimental to him, as in Emilia Romagna, where he spun less than 10 laps from the chequered flag. On the accounting level, the Monegasque is 49 points behind Max Verstappen, the great favorite to his own succession. The British Grand Prix will be a first test for Leclerc and his new engine, Mattia Binotto, the team boss assured that “Charles will be able to attack as he wishes from Silverstone”.
Carlos Sainz: the disappointment
The second place at the last Grand Prix in Canada is symptomatic of the Spaniard’s record after 8 races at the wheel of the F1-75. Never able to go after Verstappen for more than 20 laps, he has never been so close to getting his first victory, which will have to wait a little longer. 3 retirements, a teammate who outclassed him on the track when mechanical incidents were not present. A rhythm in qualification too irregular never able to take a pole. After a satisfactory first season last year, the Spaniard seems to walk backwards and does not progress. The season is not finished, on the contrary it is up to him to prove all his talent from July 3rd in Silverstone with why not a first success in the queen category?

Silverstone will surely bring a whole lot of drama to the points table….expecting to see some close racing this weekend. Have a hunch, Perez would make his presence felt
Ferrari really needs to pull up its socks and get things in place.
Welcome! and congratulations four your first post.
