Fast X, the 10th film of the Fast and Furious saga to release on May 18th across the UAE

A threat from Dominic Toretto’s past returns to haunt him and his family across the world

One of the most revered film franchises for car enthusiasts returns with its 10th installation set to release this month. Fast X, the 10th film in the Fast & Furious saga, will be released across the United Arab Emirates on May 18th, 2023, to tread upon the final chapters of one of cinema’s most popular global franchises over three decades.

Throughout the previous nine pieces of cinema, the protagonist of the Fast and Furious franchise, Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel), has outsmarted every foe in his path. However, the latest instalment will see a threat emerge from the shadows of his past, fueled by blood revenge.

In 2011’s release of Fast Five, the plot saw Dom and his family take down Brazilian drug kingpin Hernan Reyes and his entire empire across Rio de Janeiro. What ‘the family’ failed to notice was Reyes’ son, Dante (Aquaman’s Jason Momoa), witnessed it all and has spent the last 12 years mastering a plan to avenge his father’s death from Dom and his family.

The upcoming Fast X movie is written by Justin Lin (F9) & Dan Mazeau (Wrath of the Titans), with Louis Leterrier (Clash of the Titans, The Incredible Hulk) taking over the directorial reins. Like all Fast and Furious movies, the 10th edition boasts a humongous cast comprising the biggest of stars such as Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Jason Statham, John Cena and Scott Eastwood. A plethora of Oscar-winning actors, such as Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, Brie Larson and Rita Moreno, will also feature in this high-octane, action-packed blockbuster.
