EVA Air Orders 33 Airbus Jets

Airbus has bagged a firm order from EVA Air. It is for 18 A350-1000 widebody aircraft and 15 A321neo single-aisle jets. With this purchase, the Taiwanese airline became the latest carrier to opt for the flagship A350-1000, which can seat up to 410 passengers in a standard three-class configuration. The long-haulier is powered by two new-gen Rolls-Royce engines, which can help the aircraft cover up to 9,700 nautical miles (18,000km) nonstop.

The A321neo, on the other hand, is one of the most popular aeroplanes for short- and medium-range routes. It currently dominates the segment with a market share of about 65 per cent. The A350 model range is also gaining popularity, with Airbus already bagging orders for over 1,000 units from 60 carriers worldwide. Both aircraft mentioned above can fly with up to 50 per cent SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel).
