Dubai-based Emirates is ready to welcome back a service it halted in 2012. The airline has confirmed the restart of flights to Damascus from July 16, 2025. Initially, it’ll operate three weekly flights from Dubai on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays, followed by introducing a fourth weekly service on Saturdays from August 2, 2025. The aim is to offer the Dubai-Damascus direct service daily, effective October 26, 2025.
Emirates will operate a 302-seater Boeing 777-200LR on the reinstated route. Flight number EK 913 will depart Dubai at noon and arrive at Damascus International Airport at 14:10. Those travelling in the opposite direction will board flight EK 914, which starts and concludes its journey at 16:30 and 20:30, respectively. All times mentioned are local. Passengers can also take advantage of the codeshare between flydubai and Emirates, providing more options and convenience when flying in or out of the Syrian capital.
The aircraft will have a two-class configuration, featuring 38 seats in Business Class spread in a 2-2-2 layout and 264 in Economy. Emirates first started flight operations to Damascus in 1988, and before it suspended operations 13 years ago, it had ferried more than 2.1 million passengers to and from Syria.
