Emirates To Introduce More Flights For This Island Nation

The weekly frequency increase will come into effect from April 2, 2025.

Dubai-based carrier Emirates began operating flights to Madagascar (Antananarivo), with a stopover in Mahe, Seychelles, in September last year. The weekly frequency was set at four, temporarily jumping to five to meet seasonal demand. The airline has now announced that starting April 2, 2025, it will operate six weekly services between the island nation and Dubai. The move responds to “strong demand” and “reinforces the airline’s commitment to support Madagascar’s tourism ambitions.”

The new schedule shows the services between the two nations will operate on all days except Mondays. Flight EK707 (departing daily from Dubai) will begin its journey at 08:55 and land in Mahe at 13:35. It’ll then resume its trip, leaving Mahe at 15:05 and landing in Antananarivo at 16:50. Those travelling in the opposite direction will board flight EK708, which departs from Antananarivo and lands in Mahe at 18:35 and 22:20, respectively. It’ll commence its last leg of the journey at 23:50 and land in Dubai at 04:20 the next day. As far as Mondays are concerned, the EK707/EK708 connections run without Madagascar in the equation. EK708 departs from Mahe at 21:45 and arrives at Emirates’ home hub at 02:15 the following day. All times mentioned are local.
