Good news for travellers from Dubai to Manchester or Milan: Emirates has confirmed that it is nearly ready to deploy retrofitted Airbus A380s to both destinations. The improved double-deckers will offer the option of Premium Economy seats aboard flights EK017/018 to Manchester from June 6, 2025, and flights EK091/092 to Milan from July 1, 2025.
Once deployed, the refurbished A380 to Manchester will push the weekly Premium Economy count to and from the UK to approximately 5,000. This service complements four daily retrofitted A380s currently flying between Dubai and London Heathrow, the A350 on the Edinburgh route, and the soon-to-be-introduced revamped Boeing 777 for London Stansted from next month.

In Italy, before Emirates’ Milan service aboard a retrofitted A380 goes live, an A350 featuring Premium Economy is expected to be deployed on the Bologna route in June. By the time the Milan service is active, Emirates will have 19 destinations worldwide being served by the thoroughly refreshed A380s.
The Premium Economy section on Emirates’ four-class Airbus A380 is located at the front of the main deck, featuring 56 seats arranged in a 2-4-2 layout. Along with comfortable pitch and width, each Premium Economy seat offers in-seat charging points and a side cocktail table. A thoughtfully curated menu, a wide selection of beverages, and various in-flight amenities enhance the journey’s relaxation.
