The UK-headquartered airline easyJet is all set to strengthen its network. It has confirmed the plan to launch six new routes from four airports in the UK. From Manchester and Edinburgh, the low-cost carrier will operate flights up to seven days a week to Milan Linate starting March 30, 2025. These two new routes will complement the airline’s existing services to Milan Malpensa. Moreover, it’ll also add flights on the London Gatwick – Milan Linate route to increase the frequency from one to two daily services.
Another update regarding easyJet’s Italian operations is that a new three-aircraft base will open at Rome Fiumicino on the same date as mentioned above. That, along with the bases in Milan, Malpensa, and Naples, will help the airline broaden its connectivity choices for travellers.
Starting May 1, 2025, easyJet will launch a new route from Birmingham. Flights to Bordeaux will run twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays until the end of summer. Then, on June 1, 2025, the Birmingham-Gibraltar route will go live and run throughout the year.
Moving to Bristol, a new Airbus A320neo family aircraft will join the airline’s base. That will help introduce new routes to Almeria, Spain, and Palermo, Italy. While the Bristol-Almeria link is scheduled to run twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout the year from June 24, 2025, the services to Sicily’s capital start on June 26, 2025, with two weekly departures on Thursdays and Sundays.
The additional aircraft at Bristol and more jets at Manchester, Edinburgh, and Birmingham in summer will expand the options for easyJet passengers. Moreover, the airline will open a new base in London Southend at the end of March 2025.
