DS Automobiles unveils the facelifted DS3

Small cosmetic changes and improvement of the electric version

The DS3 Crossback is getting a little facelift! The smallest SUV of DS takes advantage of this opportunity to update its appearance, its equipment, its technology and changes its name. First of all, visually, it’s very subtle. The DS3 is closer to the DS7 with daytime running lights forming a comb and a diamond grille. The headlights have a simplified light signature. At the rear, the chrome between the taillights disappears and the DS Automobiles lettering appears.

New personalization options have also been introduced, such as new wheels and two colours that were not previously available before the facelift. There is a red paint, the Rouge Diva, and a grey one, the Gris Laqué. On board, the differences are also minor. There is a new steering wheel and above all a 10.3 inch touch screen equipped with the new DS Iris System infotainment system. As for the rest, the DS3 keeps its original and well finished interior.

In terms of equipment, the DS3 remains particularly well-equipped for the category, as it can be fitted with level 2 semi-autonomous driving, a 360° camera, a head-up display, matrix LED headlights and heated, electric and massaging seats.

Under the bonnet, the little SUV has a 1.2 PureTech petrol engine with 100 PS (6-speed manual gearbox) or 130 PS (8-speed automatic gearbox). On the diesel side, the offer remains unique with the 1.5 BlueHDi with 130 PS coupled with an automatic transmission. The E-Tense electric version has undergone the biggest changes. The electric motor increases to 156 PS and 240 Nm of torque, while the battery’s capability is increased to 54 kWh. The range is now 250 mi (402 km).

In direct current, however, the charging power remains limited to 100 kW. In alternating current, a maximum power of 11 kW can be expected. And orders for the facelifted DS3 are already open.
