Delta To Shatter A Personal Record Next Year

The airline will operate its largest-ever trans-Atlantic summer schedule.

Georgia, USA-headquartered airline Delta has unveiled its plan to create a new personal record. During the summer of 2025, the carrier has devised a schedule to operate its largest-ever trans-Atlantic flight services from multiple airports in the USA. In addition, it will provide enhanced travel experiences and a variety of cabin options aboard the two aircraft types lined up to ferry people to Europe and beyond.

Starting May 2025, Delta will introduce a new route – a daily direct service to Catania from New York-JFK. In the same month, the airline will launch four weekly flights from Atlanta to Naples. This route will complement the carrier’s existing New York-JFK to Naples service, which was launched in this year’s summer.

Delta will also increase its presence in Rome in May next year with the introduction of four weekly flights from Minneapolis-St. Paul. Once live, the airline will have direct services to Rome from five hubs in the USA, with the other four being Atlanta, Boston, Detroit and New York-JFK. A similar plan is for Milan, where, in May 2025, Delta will launch four weekly flights from Boston. The carrier already has direct services to Milan from New York-JFK and Atlanta.

In May 2025, the airline will add a three-times-weekly service to Barcelona from Boston to its list of new routes. The airline already operates direct flights to the Spanish city from Atlanta and New York-JFK. During the same month, the airline will launch four weekly flights from Detroit to Dublin, where it already has services from Atlanta, Boston, New York-JFK, and Minneapolis St. Paul. Another new route in the pipeline during the summer season next year is a three-times-weekly direct service to Brussels from Atlanta. It will complement the New York-JFK-Brussels route for the carrier.

Besides operating new routes, Delta also plans to increase flights on some. The Atlanta-Athens route will be beefed up with four additional weekly services, bringing the total to 11. Similarly, three extra weekly flights from Atlanta to Barcelona and Rome will operate, upping the count to 10 and 17, respectively. From the same base, a daily service to Zurich will also provide travellers with options. From Detroit, the service frequency to Munich will increase to daily.

All in all, Delta will operate over 700 weekly flights to 33 European destinations and beyond. Two Airbus aircraft types, an A330-900 and an A350-900, will serve passengers with multiple cabin classes: Delta One suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin. Complementary fast Wi-Fi onboard and Delta One Lounges in Los Angeles, Boston, and Seattle promise enhanced flying experiences.
