Citroën will bring back the My Ami Buggy in 2023

The quadricycle will be sold in 1,000 units

Presented as a concept in 2021, the Citroën My Ami Buggy went into production in 2022 via a limited series of 50 units in France. These models all sold out in just 18 minutes and since then, the number of used cars sold has literally exploded. Aware of the success, Citroën has decided to repeat this limited series for 2023 in 1,000 units.

This new batch of cars is expected to go on sale in the next few months. The new My Ami Buggy will essentially have the same elements that made the first version successful, with its crossover look. The doors have been replaced by hinged tubes and 14-inch sheet metal wheels have been added. A canvas top also allows the vehicle to be driven with the wind in its hair, while the stern has a spoiler.

There is also an exclusive exterior colour scheme with yellow accents, both inside and out. The seats also have new upholstery compared to the base model without any padding. Citroën promises to surprise with small extras for the 2023 model that have not yet been detailed. On the technical side, the My Ami Buggy will remain faithful to the standard Ami.

The quadricycle will have an 8 hp electric motor combined with a 5.5 kWh battery for a range of 75 km. The maximum speed will remain limited to 45 kph. Orders for the Citroën My Ami Buggy will open in the first quarter of 2023 and the first cars will be delivered at the end of 2023. Finally, the vehicle will not only be sold in France but also in other markets.
