Bulgari launches the Bulgari Bulgari at LVMH Watch Week in Miami
An icon revived in yellow gold and rose gold, both in a 38 mm and 26 mm case size.

Bulgari – a prestigious Italian luxury brand – has chosen LVMH Watch Week to launch a revived version of their iconic Bulgari Bulgari timepiece. Founded 140 years ago, in 1884, by Sotirios Voulgaris, a Greek silversmith and businessman, Bulgari is an iconic luxury goods powerhouse, famous for its jewellery, timepieces, accessories, fragrances, cosmetics, leather goods and hotels. Bulgari is headquartered in Rome, Italy, and since 2011, has been part of LVMH.
LVMH or Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy is a French multinational luxury goods conglomerate, which owns brands in sectors such as wines and spirits, fashion and leather goods, perfumes and cosmetics, watches and jewelry, retail, luxury travel and few others.

“In 1975, a new icon of bold and precious beauty emerged. Its unique alchemy, envisioned by Gianni Bulgari, took form on the sketch pad of legendary designer Gérald Genta. Both classic and visionary, this wristwatch expresses the Roman soul of the Maison, its avant-garde approach inspired by a deep passion for the arts and architectural riches of Italy.”
Design:
As the Bulgari Bulgari nears its 50th anniversary (2025), Bulgari has revived the “original allure” of this Gérald Genta designed timepiece. It is a classical round timepiece with the 14 letters of “Bvlgari Bvlgari” engraved on its bezel, reminiscent of names of emperors engraved on ancient Roman coins.
Bulgari has launched this timepiece in two sizes – a modern and “gender-neutral” 38 mm version, and a vintage 26 mm version. Both sizes are available in the original yellow gold and also rose gold. The 38 mm version is powered by a mechanical automatic calibre and displays the hours, minutes, centre seconds and date at 3 o’clock. The 26 mm version is powered by a quartz calibre and displays the hours and minutes.
Case, Dial and Strap:
Yellow Gold 38 mm Version:
– This case is crafted in yellow gold, has a case diameter of 38 mm and a case thickness of 8.75 mm. Its crown is crafted in yellow gold.
– “Bvlgari Bvlgari” is engraved on its yellow gold bezel.
– The calibre is visible on the caseback side.
– The case is water resistant to 50 metres.
– It has a “black matte dial with a matte Zapon coating and speckled texture.”
– Applied yellow gold gilded hour markers encircle the dial at each hour, except at 3 o’clock, where it is shorter due to the date window, and at 6 o’clock and 12 o’clock – where yellow gold gilded ‘6’ and ‘12’ are applied on the dial.
– The hour, minute and centre seconds hand are gilded in yellow gold.
– The date window has an inner angled border, a classy design touch. The date disc is the same colour as the dial. The date font is white.
– “Swiss Made” is displayed discreetly on the lower left and right side of ‘6’.
– The timepiece is delivered with a black alligator strap and a pin buckle.
Rose Gold 38 mm Version:
– The case is crafted in rose gold, has a case diameter of 38 mm and a case thickness of 8.75 mm. Its crown is crafted in rose gold.
– “Bvlgari Bvlgari” is engraved on its rose gold bezel.
– The calibre is visible on the caseback side.
– The case is water resistant to 50 metres.
– It has a “silvered matte opaline dial.”
– Applied rose gold gilded hour markers encircle the dial at each hour, except 3 o’clock, where it is shorter due to the date window, and at 6 o’clock and 12 o’clock – where rose gold gilded ‘6’ and ‘12’ are applied on the dial.

Calibre:
Both the 38 mm versions in yellow and rose gold are powered by a mechanical inhouse automatic Caliber BVL191 ‘solotempo’, which displays the hours, minutes, centre seconds and date. The calibre has a diameter of 26.2 mm and a thickness of 3.8 mm. It beats at a frequency of 28,800 VPH and has a power reserve of 42 hours. It is visible on the caseback side. Caliber BVL191 is crafted by the Bulgari Manufacture in Switzerland.
Yellow Gold 26 mm Version:
– The case is crafted in yellow gold, has a case diameter of 26 mm and a case thickness of 6.35 mm. Its crown is crafted in yellow gold.
– “Bvlgari Bvlgari” is engraved on its yellow gold bezel.
