Blackhawk Aerospace Announces Two Impressive Feats

The aerospace company recently finished running its 150th engine upgrade on a Cessna.

One of the renowned names in the aviation industry, Blackhawk Aerospace, has announced two achievements. The first is regarding the recent engine upgrade job on a Cessna, whereas the second concerns its Blackhawk Aerospace Technologies (BAT) division.

Here’s more about the first of the two feats. Blackhawk Aerospace recently completed its 150th Cessna Caravan Engine+ Upgrade. The Texas-based company offers a choice of two engine upgrades for the said turboprop – XP140 and Vy, featuring Pratt & Whitney Canada’s PT6A-140 and PT6A-42A engines, respectively.

The Cessna Caravan, manufactured by Textron Aviation, serves a variety of operations, including cargo, corporate, passenger, and military applications. The engine upgrade helps it perform better in harsher conditions while achieving improved climb rates and safety margins.

Blackhawk Aerospace has served several clients over the years, including Air Services Limited in Georgetown, Guyana. The carrier provides scheduled services, charter flights, medivac flights and scenic tours. It has placed its 11th XP140 Engine+ Upgrade from Blackhawk Aerospace.

Moving over to Blackhawk Aerospace’s second achievement. Its BAT division has been recognised with the Garmin Platinum Dealer award. This equates BAT to the highest level of Garmin dealer classification. Moreover, BAT will close 2023 as Blackhawk Aerospace’s top dealers for their Engine+ Upgrades.

As its name suggests, BAT offers technology upgrades, such as the G1000 NXi upgrade for the King Air aircraft (from Textron Aviation’s Beechcraft portfolio), to its clients from around the globe. Texas-based Pollard Aircraft is partnering with BAT to equip six King Airs they sell with Garmin G1000 Autoland and Autothrottle upgrades.
