Bentley to launch sportier models for 2022

With new GT cars on the horizon, Bentley launches the Bentayga S

Bentley is on a roll. With their new Azure trim level announced for all their cars, they will launch new sporty versions of their Grand Tourers on the 6th of June. Using the tag line ‘SHARPER, SLEEKER, SONOROUS, SUBLIME.’ I can reasonably assume that Bentley will launch the ‘S’ trim level for the Continental GT and Continental GTC Grand Tourers.

Speaking about the ‘S’ variant, Bentley just launched the Bentayga S in the Middle East. What is so interesting about the ‘S’ variant? Bentley says it is the sportier version of the regular Bentayga.

Many customers in the Middle East like to drive their cars, and they told Bentley that they would like a more engaging driving experience from their Bentaygas.

For performance, Bentley made the following changes. Bentley Dynamic Ride active anti-roll control fitted as standard and an enhanced Sports chassis mode. A 15 per cent increase in damping stiffens the chassis and provides a platform for a more dynamic SPORT mode ESC tune. The Bentayga S features a 4.0-litre, twin-scroll turbocharged V8 petrol engine. The engine develops 542 bhp (550 PS) and 568 lb. ft. (770 Nm) of torque, with a 0–100 km/h time of 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 290 km/h. This is the same as before.

The Bentayga’s off-road abilities remain, with the optional All-Terrain Specification bringing four dedicated off-road modes.

With the above changes, Bentley claims a more engaging drive.

Further cosmetic changes Bentley has made to the Bentayga S are new unique 22″ wheels with three finishes. New ‘S’ badges are positioned on the lower edge of the front doors, and Blackline Specification is standard. The profile has increased presence due to the larger rear spoiler, gloss black side sills and lower bumpers, front and rear. Dark tint lenses to headlamps and tail lamps, black door mirrors, and split oval tailpipes.

Inside the cabin using multiple colour combinations and materials such as leather and Alcantara, the Bentayga ‘S’ can be specced to the customer’s liking.

The Bentayga can be ordered in four, five or seven-seat configurations.
