Bentley Bent Timelines To Make This Bentayga

The buyers summoned the services of Mulliner.

It’s one of those tales that portrays the lengths a carmaker would cover to keep a customer happy and content. Here’s how it started. A couple in Irvine, California, visited the Bentley Newport Beach outlet to order a Bentayga EWB Azure V8 First Edition. Opting for that particular version opened the floodgates of colour options. 46 billion plus the standard choices, to be precise.

That must have led to a confused state of affairs, you say? Perhaps. But then, that’s where Bentley’s Mulliner arm came in. The design manager, Phill Dean, helped the couple reach further into their imaginations. Upon contemplation, the buyers settled for Kingfisher – an electric blue metallic paint complimenting the SUV’s Blackline styling specification. So, a dual-tone finish. Except, Bentley didn’t have that option for the Bentayga EWB. However, it decided to launch that option, forwarding by a year.

The couple had chosen their Bentayga EWB with Blackline and Touring packages. Also, they wanted a rear privacy glass and the removal of Bentley lettering from the tailgate. The winged B badge would be enough! Finished in Onyx black are the grille, roof, bonnet, front air intakes, wing vents, side coachlines and rear diffuser. The rest is all Kingfisher. Even the 22-inch rims have a dual-tone finish.

The buyers chose a four-seat configuration for the cabin with the brand’s airline seat specification for the rear seats. Also, they selected Naim of Bentley sound system and mood lighting. The theme, however, is the standout bit – a blend of Mandarin and Imperial Blue leather. Open Pore Koa Veneer was chosen for the fascia, rear centre console, door trim and picnic tables. Accents of the Kingfisher colour are also found throughout. Rounding off the interior are the Mulliner key box, storage for valuables, and treadplates engraved with “One of One”.

So, do you like how this Bentley Bentayga EWB Azure V8 First Edition came out?
