Audi unveils the facelifted 2024 A6 and A7 executive sedans

Customers can now select different packages for the interior and exterior trims

The second quarter of 2023 appears to be a month dedicated to executive sedans. Last month, Mercedes Benz unveiled its all-new sixth-generation E-Class and rival firm BMW took the covers off its latest eight-generation 5 Series in the previous week. While fellow German automaker Audi has yet to possess an all-new iteration to compete with the competition, it aims to close the gap by offering a facelift for its A6 and A7 sedans comprising tweaked styling and more technology as standard.

Audi has restructured the customer buying experience with the updated 2024 A6 and A7 models, allowing more room for individuality. Now, the interior can be designed independently of the exterior package customers select. The exterior colour portfolio includes Arcona White and Madeira Brown Metallic shades for the first time. Furthermore, interior decorative elements boast new additions such as wooden inlays in Olive Tree Natural and Ash Volcanic Gray Natural and inlays covered with Dinamica microfiber.

The Audi virtual cockpit with a 12.3-inch screen and a full HD resolution is now a standard feature, and so is the parking assistant with park assist plus assisted driving system. Basic headlights on the Audi A6 and S6 now come as full LED lights with a contoured daytime running light signature.

Audi has simplified the exterior package trim with trims such as basic, advanced, and S line packages for the A6 Sedan and Avant to choose from and basic and S line for the A7 Sportback. Each equipment line is characterised by unique front and rear design elements. A tweaked front grille comprises the bread and butter of most of the facelift upgrades, and the same can be found on the 2024 Audi A6 and A7 facelifted models as well.

A Singleframe with a honeycomb structure is the new defining element in the front of the vehicle. The basic line trim benefits from the front end finished in Matte Black with a chrome frame. The advanced line, exclusive to the A6, boasts a Dark Chrome radiator grille and sporty 18-inch wheels, whereas the S-line trim gets the Singleframe with added chrome inserts.

Reflecting strong customer demand for dark rims, Audi addresses the request by offering more than half of its variants with dark rims. While the standard wheels are 17-inch aluminium units, the 18-inch wheels in a multi-spoke design are now coated in Graphite Gray. Further 19, 20 and 21-inch designs also feature a darker shade finish with newer, more sporty designs available as an optional extra.

The updated Audi A6 and Audi A7 models will be available to order from June 1, starting at 53,800 euros or 63,500 euros, respectively.
