Aston Martin Valhalla is almost street-ready with insane power

Their first mid-engined car is set to be one of a new era from Aston

With the new Valhalla, Aston Martin is finally getting into the mid-engined Hypercar market. I mean the word “finally” when I say it. They’ve needed a mid-engined car for years now—Corvette beat them to the game! There are only so many Vanquish buyers out there who want a front-engine car. Much like Ferrari, the front-engine stuff doesn’t sell as fast or for as much as the mid-engine cars. They’re currently certifying their car for on-road use, and the numbers from this car, let’s just say, the on-track certification is likely to be much easier.

The Valhalla produces 1079PS (1064 horsepower) and 1100Nm of torque (811-pound feet) from a 4.0L flat plane crank V8 with twin turbos and a three-motor hybrid system. It is capable of 0-100km/h in 2.5 seconds and is fitted with an 8-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT). The top speed of this mid-engined wonder is 350km/h (217 mph). If these numbers aren’t epic enough for you, Aston has added a plug-in hybrid system with three E-motors that produce an additional 251PS (247 horsepower) on top of the over thousand coming from the V8.

Simon Newton, Director of Vehicle Performance and Attributes said, “For the engineering and dynamics teams, the unprecedented dynamic bandwidth that distinguishes Valhalla from its rivals has presented many new opportunities during development. With a combination of 1079PS and 1100Nm via the hybrid powertrain, extreme performance is a given. To harness and refine the power to deliver an exceptional supercar experience on both road and track has meant tireless work has gone into the integration of active aerodynamics and integrated control systems.”

These are the first official images we’ve gotten of the street-legal Valhalla. Taken on-road in the UK and on-track near Barcelona, you better act as fast as this car is, they’ve capped production at 999 units. Pricing is unknown, but you’re likely missing a couple of zeros on your tax return to afford one.

Cheers,
