ArtyA’s three sensational entries for the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix

ArtyA, a Geneva based independent timepiece brand, has three timepiece nominations for the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix or Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) awards. The GPHG awards ceremony will be held at the Théâtre Du Léman in Geneva on November 13, 2024. The GPHG awards are the equivalent of the Oscars for the world of horology.

Men’s Category: Purity Stairway to Heaven HMS Sapphire

The Purity Stairway to Heaven HMS Sapphire features both a new manufacture movement and a new sapphire crystal case, the latter with a “surprising design.”  Based on the images, its functions include hours, minutes and seconds. This timepiece will be unveiled at the brand’s boutique during ArtyA Watch Days, being held during August 29 until September 2, 2024. 

Tourbillon Category: Curvy Purity Tourbillon Ruby

The Curvy Purity Tourbillon Ruby’s case is made from “flamboyant red sapphire crystal, chemically identical to genuine ruby.”  Its functions are hours, minutes, and small seconds on the flying tourbillon. It has a high frequency tourbillon movement, beating at 4 Hz. Its vermilion red colour is symbolic of the ArtyA brand, and “is a highlight of the Curvy Purity Tourbillon manufactured collection.”  The vermilion red of the sapphire case would glow under a UV light. 

Men’s Complication Category: Purity Central Tourbillon Blue

The Purity Central Tourbillon Blue is a new model, and features a new 20 mm central tourbillon, larger than the brand’s previous tourbillons. It is a high frequency tourbillon, beating at 4 Hz. Based on the images, its functions are hours and minutes. It is the fifth manufacture movement developed by the brand, the fourth to include a tourbillon, and the first to feature automatic winding. This timepiece will be launched after summer. 

ArtyA Watch Days

The ArtyA Watch Days coincide exactly with Geneva Watch Days, both held during 29 August until 2nd September, 2024. Although ArtyA is not participating in Geneva Watch Days, for those attending, it is a fantastic opportunity to visit ArtyA’s Boutique and see these three sensational timepieces, as well as their other timepieces and collections.
