Aprilia unveiled The 2025 RSV4 Factory at EICMA 2024

The new 2025 updated Aprilia RSV4 Factory gets a Moto GP-derived aero package.

The Aprilia RSV4 is a well-known stalwart in the superbike scene – highly rated by motorcycle enthusiasts and journalists alike – it’s quite well known for its inspirational soundtrack unleashed by the mighty 1099cc V4 engine. Despite coming from the humble household of Aprilia in Noale, Italy – which does not have the same financial means as the juggernauts of the motorcycle world such as Honda, Ducati and Yamaha, the RSV4 has managed to give them stern competition and better yet, it kept on getting better since it was first launched.

It was in 2008 when the Aprilia unveiled their first RSV4 for the world to gauge since then the bike kept growing with subtle but meaningful increments in both aesthetics and mechanical departments – during this time Aprilia won multiple superbike world championships with Max Biaggi and Sylvain Giuntoli.

In 2021 The RSV4 received a major refresh and got two new variants to choose from a base RSV4 and the RSV4 Factory which gets all the goodies from the racing department.

The dawn of 2025 is upon us and Aprilia has already unveiled their 2025 RSV4 and RSV4 factory -Now the bike not only looks sharper and edgier than before but got faster and more intelligent thanks to the new electronics and aero upgrade borrowed from the Moto GP racing department of the Noale factory.

Aprilia states that the new design and aero package are not just there to appease the aesthetics of the motorcycle – but the new body has reduced the drag coefficient by 6 per cent and drastic improvement of downforce around the corners.

The newfound speed around the corners is now managed by the new predictive electronics control strategy system that manages certain parameters such as speed, throttle position, lean angle, and more to foresee what will transpire next and optimise the electronics such as traction control, engine management system and wheelie control to provide utmost confidence to the rider.

The Aprilia RSV4 is powered by the 1099cc, V4 engine that produces 220bhp a gain of 3bhp compared to the outgoing model, which is achieved by increasing the size of the throttle body. To cool things down the engine gets a newly designed radiator fan which offers better cooling than the outgoing model.

The RSV4 features a new, lighter top triple clamp for its chassis. While the frame remains unchanged, the RSV4 Factory is equipped with a new Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension system. Additionally, Aprilia has installed new Brembo Hypure brake callipers, which are also found on the latest Ducati Panigale V4.
