After its first unveiling at EICMA 2024, and later followed by months of speculation and teasers, Aprilia has finally launched its Tuono 457, a naked streetfighter version of the RS457 Sports bike. Aprilia has priced the Tuono 457 at Rs 3.95 lakh, making it the most affordable motorcycle in Aprilia India’s portfolio, and it undercut its fared sibling, the Aprilia RS457, by Rs 25,000/-.

The Aprilia Tuono 457 shares the same platform as the Aprilia RS 457; the Tuono 457 shares the same DOHC 4-valve 457cc parallel twin motor as seen on the RS 457, producing 47 hp and 43 Nm of torque, which is being transferred to the 17-inch rear wheel through a six-speed slipper clutch gearbox. The Aprilia RS 457 can sprint from 0-100 in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 190km/h; expect the Aprilia Tuono 457 to achieve similar numbers.
On the hardware front, the Aprilia Tuono 457 comes with preload-adjustable USD front forks and a rear mono-shock for suspension duties. Braking duties are taken care of by dual-channel disc brakes on both sides.

On the design front, Aprilia Tuono follows the traditional street fighter design language but doesn’t carry the heavy side panels that are quite prominent on the modern Naked street fighters and look quite light visually. Aprilia Tuono gets a centre-set LED headlight wrapped around by LED DRLs. The Aprilia Tuono comes in two different shades – Piranha Red and Puma Grey.
On the feature side, Aprilia has equipped the Tuono with an all-LED light, traction control, ride modes, switchable ABS, and a colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, along with an optional extra Quick shifter.

The Italian marquee Aprilia has launched the Tuono 457 in direct competition with the KTM Duke 390 from Austria and the Yamaha MT-03 from Japan in the naked street fighter segment.
