All-New MG3 Launched In The Middle East
From March this year, the hatchback will be available across the GCC, Lebanon, and Iraq.
We’re still in the second month of the year, and we’ve already seen a lot of activities from MG in the Middle East. For instance, the British brand launched the Whale crossover last month. Also, earlier this month, it flaunted the Cyberster in the same country, especially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. And now, we have another announcement – the launch of the all-new MG3 in the Middle East. The hatchback, which enters its third generation, will be available across the GCC, Lebanon and Iraq from March 2024.
The variant list may differ depending on the market. However, we know MG has devised three trim levels for the region – STD, COM and LUX. While the features list will differ, all versions will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 109hp/142Nm, while an 8-step CVT does its thing to make propulsion happen. The SAIC-owned brand claims the MG3 is “highly economical” and has “agile handling and flexible steering”.
In the features list, buyers will find stuff like a 360-degree camera, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, front parking sensors, a leather steering wheel, keyless entry and Lane Departure Alert. In STD form, the car will pack features like powered ORVMs, rear parking sensors, hill assist and a multi-function steering wheel. Moving up to COM trim gets add-ons such as 16-inch alloy wheels, rear AC vents, an electric parking brake and a sunroof. Driver assistance systems like Front Collision Warning, Emergency Lane Keep System and Blind Spot Detection are also available.
The standard warranty cover is 6 years or 200,000km, whichever is earlier. As for the prices, they start at USD 10,700, excluding VAT. So, do you think MG has a winner in the all-new MG3? Or, perhaps you believe a competitor is a better bet?
