Al Tayer Motors has become the first company in the Middle East to launch DEEPAL, a Chinese electric vehicle brand. The S07 will be the first vehicle introduced in the UAE market starting March 2025.
The name DEEPAL symbolises the depth of the ocean and the vastness of space, embodying the spirit of exploration and challenge in new horizons. The brand’s logo combines technology, nature, and man, embodying harmony between them and expressing its ambitious vision of “touching the future.”
Extended-range electric vehicles rely on two motors: an electric motor that runs on a battery and an internal combustion engine that works as a generator to recharge the battery when the power level is low, thus increasing the driving range.
The S07 is powered by a single electric motor with 134 horsepower, 320 Nm of torque, and a 79.97 kWh battery. Designed in Turin, Italy, the front end is inspired by a crescent moon, giving it a mysterious and enchanting aura. The headlights feature a design inspired by the petals of the Gesang flower, adding a touch of modern mechanical aesthetics.
According to the WLTP standards, the battery electric vehicle (BEV) version of the model has a pure electric range of 475 km, while the range extended (REEV) version has a pure electric range of 160 km and a combined range of 950 km.
The S07 has a spacious interior supported by a 2,900 mm wheelbase. With overall dimensions of 4,750 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, and 1,625 mm in height, the car offers a balanced blend of comfort, elegance, and spaciousness that ensures a comfortable ride for passengers.
Inside, it features a simple, wraparound centre console design inspired by Mediterranean yachts. It has a 15.6-inch floating high-definition infotainment screen that provides a better viewing angle. The car also contains a head-up display (HUD) that supports augmented reality technology, which enhances the driving experience. The vehicle also features an exclusive audio system integrated into the driver’s headrest.
The S07, available in battery-electric and extended-range versions, starts at USD 32,581. It has a six-year or 150,000-kilometre warranty and an eight-year or 150,000-kilometre battery warranty. This model also supports fast charging, reducing downtime and increasing comfort during long journeys.
