Mumbai-headquartered Akasa Air has launched ‘Akasa Priority’ services to help travellers smoothen multiple transitions while flying. This welcome move has the potential to improve the overall flying experience and attract more repeat business from travellers.
As the name suggests, it empowers passengers to shorten wait times at the airport. Purchasing ‘Akasa Priority’ directly impacts three key areas: check-in, baggage collection, and boarding. For check-in, ‘Akasa Priority’ passengers can skip the queues and begin their formalities as soon as possible. Similarly, their baggage reaches the collection belts ahead of those who haven’t purchased the add-on. Lastly, they are allowed to board the plane before others to make settling in more comfortable.
Intrigued? Well, here’s what you also need to know. ‘Akasa Priority’ can either be pre-booked or purchased at the airport up to an hour before the flight’s departure for domestic routes and two hours before departure for international flights. The per-sector cost in the former case is INR 700, whereas for the latter case it is INR 800.
