Jackson Square Aviation (JSA), part of the Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc. group, is a global commercial aircraft lessor that has existed since 2010. The company’s owned, committed, and managed fleet comprises 286 Boeing and Airbus aircraft, with 62 operators in 31 countries.
JSA has now placed a firm order for 50 A320neo Family aircraft. Since this is the lessor’s first direct order with the European aircraft manufacturer, the former technically becomes the latter’s latest customer.
Here’s what Kevin McDonald, JSA’s CEO, said about the development:
“This is an exciting milestone in JSA’s history as a longtime global leader in the sale and leaseback financings of Airbus aircraft. JSA looks forward to our expanded relationship with Airbus. We are excited to add the A320neo to our long-term pipeline as we continue our mission to provide the world’s airlines with superior fleet and capital solutions.”
Having recorded over 19,000 orders globally, the A320 Family claims the world’s most popular single-aisle aircraft title. As with all latest-gen Airbus jets, the A320 Family can already operate with up to 50 per cent SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel). By the decade’s end, the manufacturer aims to push that percentage to 100 per cent.
