Serbia’s flag carrier, Air Serbia, has launched nonstop flights between Belgrade, its primary hub, and Shanghai, China. The first flight, JU986, left Belgrade at 00:45 on January 11, 2025. The airline confirms that during the winter season, two weekly services will be operated between the two cities. From Belgrade, the flights will depart on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The return flights from Shanghai will begin their journeys on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Air Serbia has also announced that this route will continue during the upcoming summer season, which starts on March 30, 2025. Flights to the Chinese city will operate from Shanghai Pudong Airport, which is located approximately 30km east of the town’s centre.
Those flying from Shanghai will find convenient connections from Belgrade to Budapest, Vienna, Prague, Ljubljana, Milan, Rome, Frankfurt, Paris, Berlin, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Podgorica, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Krakow, Oslo, Bologna, Venice, Zurich, and several others in the airline’s network.
