Earlier this year, Air India changed its flight operations between Delhi and Tokyo. Instead of flying to Tokyo’s Narita Airport, it began landing at Haneda four times weekly with the flight originating from India’s capital.
Beginning June 15, 2025, the airline will build on its presence in Japan’s capital by increasing the weekly flight frequency on the Delhi-Tokyo Haneda route to daily. A two-class Boeing 787-8 will ferry passengers on an updated flight schedule. The outbound flight, AI358, will depart from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport at 20:20 and arrive in Tokyo Haneda at 07:55 the next day. Those travelling in the opposite direction will board Air India flight AI357, which will begin its journey at 11:50 and conclude at 17:25. All times mentioned are local.

Passengers travelling with Air India to Tokyo can benefit from its codeshare with All Nippon Airways. They can connect to six major cities across Japan, including Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Nagoya, Okinawa, Osaka, and Sapporo, on a single ticket, with their baggage checked to their end destination. On the flip side, travellers flying to Delhi or Mumbai with All Nippon Airways can find Air India connections to several cities across India, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Pune, as well as international routes across Asia and Europe.
