Demand surge leads Air India to increase weekly flights on three international routes. Starting July 7, 2025, the airline will add a sixth daily flight between Delhi and Kathmandu, bringing the weekly count to 42. Similarly, a second daily service between India’s capital and that of Sri Lanka’s capital, Colombo, is planned, doubling the weekly frequency from 7 to 14 flights. Lastly, a third daily flight between Mumbai and Bangkok will bump the weekly flights significantly on this much-sought-after route. Here’s how the flight plan looks:
Once live, the added flights will offer more than 7,000 additional seats to and from the three overseas destinations mentioned above. Air India will deploy narrowbody aircraft with a three-class configuration, including Premium Economy, on the full-service additional flights to Kathmandu and Bangkok. Those travelling any of the three routes can get one-stop access to various destinations across North America, Europe, and the Far East. Bookings for the added services are open via all of Air India’s authorised sales channels.
Note: All flight timings mentioned in the table are local.
