Air Canada Makes A Return To Porto With Direct Flights

The carrier’s newest European destination is also its second in Portugal.

Canada’s flag carrier, Air Canada, has expanded its European presence by returning to Porto. It has launched direct flights to its second destination in Portugal, and its newest in Europe, from Montreal. The newly introduced route complements the airline’s other nonstop services to Lisbon, Portugal, from Montreal and Toronto.

Flight AC928 departs from Montreal at 21:50 and arrives in Porto at 09:20 the next day. The return leg, flight AC929, takes off from Porto at 11:20 and lands in Montreal at 13:45. Both sectors will be operational thrice weekly, with the outbound flight on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, and the inbound service on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Air Canada plans to offer the newly launched route until August 28, 2026.

Air Canada will ferry passengers aboard an Airbus A330-300 with a three-class configuration. The cabin choices include Air Canada Signature Class, Premium Economy, and Economy. In June 2025, Air Canada will launch two more routes: Toronto to Prague and Montreal to Edinburgh, Scotland.
