Air Canada Announces 13 New Routes To Latin America

Are you planning a trip to Latin America from Canada during the upcoming winter season? Well, Air Canada’s latest announcement will leave you spoilt for choice. The flag carrier confirms that in addition to increasing flights on existing routes, it will add four new destinations to its network and operate thirteen new routes across Latin America during the winter 2025-26.

Air Canada will offer 16 per cent more seat capacity this winter than last year. Rio de Janeiro, Cartagena, Guatemala City, and Guadalajara are the four new destinations. Routes to Santiago, Pointe-a-Pitre, Fort-de-France, Nassau, Montego Bay, and Huatulco are among the new ones planned. All those, plus the increase in frequencies, will allow Air Canada to operate more than 55 flights to Latin America daily with over 80,000 seats per week.

Here’s the plan:

The increase in flights during peak periods will go as follows:

From Toronto:

• 2 extra weekly flights; up to daily services to Los Cabos
• 5 additional weekly flights; up to 12 weekly services to Nassau
• 3 additional flights; up to 10 weekly services to Montego Bay
• Four weekly flights extended from the summer season to Monterrey
• 1 extra flight; up to 5 weekly services to St. Maarten

From Montreal:

• 1 additional daily flight; up to 3 daily services to Punta Cana
• 2 extra flights; up to 4 weekly services to St. Maarten
• 1 extra flight; up to 4 weekly services to Montego Bay

Air Canada will operate one additional flight from Vancouver, up to five weekly services, to Los Cabos, and an extra service to Puerto Vallarta.
