Abu Dhabi Airport Partners With Al-Futtaim Lexus

The collaboration revolves around VIP movements.

Those in Asia, at least, must be perfectly aware of the Al-Futtaim Group. Part of the conglomerate is Al-Futtaim Automotive, which, as the name suggests, offers services and sales for some of the most recognised automobile brands in the world. Al-Futtaim Lexus is one such arm, and that has inked an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) to become the exclusive vehicle partner for VIP movements. The signing of the MoU took place as Al-Futtaim Automotive concluded its participation in the Abu Dhabi Airshow.

As per the collaboration, Al-Futtaim Automotive has provided AUH with a fleet of new Lexus vehicles worth AED 10 million. Needless to say, the list includes flagship LX and LS models. The Lexus vehicles will offer the comfort and luxury the VIPs seek while they travel from the VIP terminal to the aircraft and vice-versa.

Here’s what Vincent Wijnen, who is the senior MD at Al-Futtaim Automotive, said in a press release:

This partnership with Abu Dhabi Airports reflects our commitment to offering an exceptional experience wherever customers engage with the Lexus brand. Abu Dhabi Airport’s VIP Terminal and Al-Futtaim Lexus both represent a certain level of exclusivity in the market, and we look forward to offering VIP passengers at Abu Dhabi International Airport the latest in automotive excellence and luxury.

If you haven’t already guessed, this partnership makes AUH the first airport in the MENA region to offer such a solution with the latest range of Lexus models. Alongside, the passengers can relish additional services such as VIP terminal mainstays, private check-in, comprehensive entertainment, up-to-date business centre, direct luggage transfer and a private Royal Majlis lounge.

Al-Futtaim Automotive is one of the five divisions within the Al-Futtaim Group, and besides Lexus, it offers sales and services for brands such as Honda, Jeep, Dodge, Volvo and Chrysler.
